1. Teacher of Sido Kanhu High School gets Desh Ratna Award
Amit Jha, a young teacher of Sido Kanhu High School of Dumka and son of Radhakant Jha and Meena Jha, was honoured with Desh Ratna Award in New Delhi on 21st November. Amit Jha was the only person who was selected from Jharkhand. In the felicitation ceremony, awards were given for outstanding achievements, dedication and contribution in the fields of education, sports, social work, science, IT, entrepreneurship, medicine, politics etc. from different states. After being honoured, Amit Jha said that the pen has the power to change the world. He also expressed various offers to take seminars in Australia, America, England, France, Germany, Italy, New Zealand etc. He is an international Educator and CBSE Resource person. Mr. Jha has been writing poems and articles, short stories for a long time, he said that his ideal is grandfather Mr Gaur Sundar Jha. His grandmother, Madhuri Jha inspired him to teach and learn together. Amit said that this award means a lot to him. The felicitation ceremony was held at Kamini Auditorium, New Delhi, in which guests were Aligarh MLA Raghuraj Singh, MLA Patel Nagar Pravesh Ratan, Arjun Awardee Divya Kakran, Bollywood actor Shahbaz Khan, National Co-Incharge Research and Policy OBC Front Vinay Chaudhary. Amit attended this felicitation ceremony with his wife, Priyanshu keshari who is an assistant teacher of Sido Kanhu High School and his daughter Aaradhya Jha. He was congratulated by School Secretary Pradiptah Mukherjee, Director Sunita Mukherjee, HR Rodoshi Mukherjee, Principal Indrajit Prasad and Debapriya Mukherjee,and all school family members etc.
